CLIMATE

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The CLIMATE project is looking into the effects of traffic telematics applications on environmental and especially climate-relevant factors, and the potential of these applications to influence these factors. Existing technologies and future developments in the field of traffic telematics are effective means for reducing emissions (carbon dioxide, air pollutants and noise).

Another key goal is sustainably influencing user behavior and communicating alternatives (for example, by providing information about the effects of choosing the individual modes of transport). Individual measures are being analyzed and documented to create a catalog of measures and then an action plan that can serve as a basis for political decision makers in the areas of environmental protection and transport. The ideal combination of specialist fields represented in the ATTC makes it possible to call on experts from all relevant telematics fields for this project.

PROJECT OBJECTIVE

To show the effects of traffic telematics applications on the environment, and in particular on climate-relevant factors; to create a catalog of measures and a plan to coordinate the measures and their effects; to form a basis for the creation of a research and investment master plan
