09 Oct ITS World Congress
World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems, October 22 to 26, 2012, in Vienna
The World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems is the world’s largest and most important trade fair for transport technologies. This makes us all the more excited that the 19th ITS in 2012 will be held in Austria for the first time. Some 8,000 visitors and 300 exhibitors from around the world are expected to attend this huge event, which will consist of a conference, an exhibition and various demonstrations.
We invite you to come to the ITS Vienna 2012 from October 22 to 26 and learn about the latest findings and developments in the industry. And in case you didn’t know, Austria is also a great place to experience exciting culture and a high quality of life. Thanks to its unique location in the heart of Europe, the country is the meeting point of north, south, east and west. And Vienna is an important hub for business relations between companies throughout Central and Eastern Europe.
Benefits at the Focus of ITS Vienna 2012
Under the slogan “smarter on the way,” we attach great importance to the use of intelligent transport systems for private and commercial purposes. To this end, we are shining the spotlight on the advantages of these systems and services in everyday life and day-to-day business. Austria has been committed to an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient transport policy and to the integration of all of the different modes of transport – road, rail, water and air – for many years. In addition to the topic of intermodality, additional focuses of the event include electromobility and improved navigation options through Galileo and cooperative systems. We also want to leave plenty of space for the presentation of the Danube region and the surrounding countries of Central and Eastern Europe at the conference.
